How to handle internet scammers: the Powerbook prank

I found this linked from a picture at Ars Technica.

CLICK HERE to read a somewhat PG-13 rated account of one man’s quest to stick it to a London scammer.  Hilarious.  We should ALL be so smart when it comes to dealing with this kind of crooked crap.

So how much would I get if I sold mine?

I had a massive geek-gasm this morning.

I’m a child of the ’80s, and my favorite line of toys from my childhood were The Transformers.  I currently have them (most in good, if well-played-with shape) in a box in my barn, along with a few MASK vehicles and the odd Go-Bot or two.

The guy in this video (who happens to be my age) puts my collection to shame.

As of this morning, his asking price on ebay is a paltry $68 thousand.

Mom and Dad, if you’re reading this (and if you’re $!#%! rich)…

WANT.

The random musings of a 30-something, West Texas high-school science teacher. Hoo-RAY.
